Overview

StartDock ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that replaces the new-tab page with a personal bookmark dashboard. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.

Data we do not collect

StartDock does not collect any of the following:

• Personally identifiable information
• Browsing history or web activity
• Location data
• Authentication credentials
• Financial or payment information
• Communications or messages

Data stored locally

StartDock stores your bookmark categories and bookmarks using chrome.storage.sync. This data:

• Is stored entirely within Chrome's built-in sync infrastructure
• Is synced across your devices via your Google account (the same way Chrome syncs bookmarks and settings)
• Is never transmitted to, accessed by, or stored on any server operated by the developer
• Remains fully under your control — you can export, clear, or delete it at any time from the extension's settings page

Browser bookmarks access

If you enable the "Browser bookmarks" data source, the extension reads your existing Chrome bookmarks to display them on the new-tab page. The extension never modifies, creates, or deletes your browser bookmarks.

Context menu

The right-click "Add to StartDock" menu item captures the URL and title of the current page solely to add it to your local bookmark list. This information is stored in chrome.storage.sync and is not transmitted anywhere.

Third parties

StartDock does not integrate with, share data with, or load content from any third-party service. No analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts are included.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised effective date.
